| EB-5 Visa | A U.S. immigrant visa for investors who create jobs through capital investment. |
| USCIS | U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services – the agency that administers the EB-5 program. |
| TEA (Targeted Employment Area) | A rural or high-unemployment area where the minimum EB-5 investment is reduced to $800,000. |
| I-526E Petition | Initial application to USCIS to demonstrate investment and eligibility for a conditional green card. |
| I-829 Petition | Filed to remove conditions on residency after job creation is proven. |
| NCE (New Commercial Enterprise) | The U.S. business where the EB-5 funds are invested. |
| JCE (Job Creating Entity) | The operating business that directly creates jobs. |
| Regional Center | A USCIS-approved entity that sponsors investment projects and pools EB-5 funds. |
| Source of Funds | Documentation proving the legality of the investor’s capital. |
